Even in new homes, the ductwork can accumulate dust and construction debris, potentially making it dirtier than older homes. Check with your builder to see if a pre-move-in cleaning has been done.
Dust and Pet Concerns
If you have dust allergies or concerns about pet dander, scheduling a cleaning before moving in is advisable. Homes that haven’t been cleaned for a while or are new and haven’t undergone post-construction cleaning may have higher levels of dust.
